While there were no state qualifiers from The News-Herald coverage area this fall in girls golf, Iannetta distinguished herself from the pack as the 2023 News-Herald girls golfer of the year. The North junior carded an 85 in Division I district competition to take 28th. She was also fifth in D-I sectional competition with a 75. Iannetta was the lone News-Herald coverage area D-I district qualifier and was several strokes better than her fellow area district qualifiers.
