The Angels on Tuesday hired Barry Enright as their pitching coach and Tim Laker as offensive coordinator, bringing to seven staffers under new manager Ron Washington.

Enright spent the past two years as the Arizona Diamondbacks’ assistant pitching coach. Previously, he worked as a coach in the Arizona farm system.

Laker, who will work with hitting coach Johnny Washington, was the Dodgers’ minor-league hitting coordinator last year.

They join a staff that includes third-base coach Eric Young Sr., first-base coach Bo Porter, infield coach Ryan Goins, catching coach Jerry Narron and Washington.

The Angels still need a bench coach and an assistant pitching coach.

Enright, 37, played at Pepperdine before beginning a career that included parts of four years in the majors. He pitched for the Angels in 2012 and 2013, working in a total of seven games.

Laker, a 53-year-old product of Simi Valley High, had also been a big-league hitting coach with the Mariners and Diamondbacks. He played parts of 11 years in the big leagues.
